Sniffing the Breeze

Ground Squirrels have made the park their home for decades. They’re a resourceful and resilient species, building long tunnels in the hard packed earth, and eating whatever vegetation lies near, from fresh leafy herbs to dry seeds. One of their more charming behaviors is standing erect. This individual’s sensitive nose samples the breeze.
