Black Birders Week

The East Bay Regional Park District invites all to join in celebrating Black Birders Week 2022. Sponsored by the Park District Naturalist staff and the Park District Black Employees Collective, the event runs from Sunday May 29 through Saturday June 4. The event aims to encourage people to get outside, spend time with community, and learn about the birds of the East Bay, and more specifically to create safe spaces for guided discussions about Black experiences and the outdoors, while exploring and enjoying the regional parks. All programs are free. Coffee and snacks, binoculars, and birding books are provided. Everyone is welcome. For more information, click here. For details about the event schedule, click here.

Cesar Chavez Park is not at this time a part of the East Bay Regional Park District but Black birders are always welcome here, this week and every week.
