Wandering Tattler

The Wandering Tattler is a medium-sized sandpiper. It gets the name “wandering” from its wide habitat, including the shorelines of the entire Pacific and its islands. When a threat approaches, it issues a loud “tattling” call that warns other birds. It breeds in high mountains in Alaska and northwest Canada.
