Two Towhees
California Towhees are known for pairing up, and these two illustrate the idea. They’re perched on the north side of the park, near the hidden bench surrounded by ceanothus and cistus. I’ve seen them there frequently, keeping company with the pair of fat White-crowned Sparrows that inhabit these bushes.
