Summer Solstice Celebration June 20
Santiago Casal, curator of the Cesar Chavez Memorial Solar Calendar in the park, has announced a Summer Solstice Gathering at the calendar on Thursday evening, June 20. The event will start at 7:45. The sun will set at 8:30. The event will end fifteen minutes later.
Rabbi David Cooper will substitute for Tory Brady of the Exploratorium as leader of the educational portion of the event. The themes are ancient astronomy, the seasons, and the Chavez virtue of Determination.
