Summer Scaup Still Here

Greater Scaup. Two males, front right. Female, upper left.

The Greater Scaup who rejected migrating north with thousands of their ilk this spring are still here.  I saw them again this morning, two males and a female, on the east side of the park, some tens of yards south of the Open Circle viewpoint.  They seemed to be keeping company with three American Coot who can be seen here year round.
