Run/Walk/Celebrate for BAHIA
This Saturday (4/25) the park will host a celebration on the 40th anniversary of BAHIA, the bilingual child development and afterschool program in Berkeley. There’ll be a 5K run/walk starting at 9 a.m. followed by a celebration from noon to 2 pm. Here’s the details from the event page:

BAHIA, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides quality bilingual early to school age care and education to children. Camina y Corre is our anniversary fundraiser for: Centro VIDA, Bahia School Age Program, Academia de Centro Vida and Academia de Bahia. All funds raised go directly to support BAHIA’s unique and valued bilingual educational programs!

BAHIA’s mission is to “Provide families with high quality, nurturing, bilingual learning environments where children grow to become successful lifelong learners.” The center is located at 1000 Camelia Street in Berkeley and has programs at 1718 8th Street in James Kenney Park, Berkeley.
