Ruddy Ducks Active
This little flock of Ruddy Ducks was in high energy mode in the morning, paddling, preening, and diving, sometimes with a flash of explosive energy. These birds migrated into the North Basin at the beginning of the month. This burst of activity was an unusual moment in the Ruddy Duck routine. They’re usually more lethargic, and they usually carry their tailfeathers upright.
