Seeing blue sky after a day and a night of rain, I hopped on my bicycle and pedaled down to the park.  Hardly had I arrived than a lagging cloud opened up on me.  I hotpedaled it to the shelter of the Hilton hotel. Waited there about twenty minutes.  Then: sunshine again, with a bonus rainbow toward the north.  The top of the arc got lost in the dark clouds but the legs were good.  One of them touched down over the race track. Pity no races were running, might have meant a pot of gold for someone.  The western leg of the arc touched near the park’s new flare station. That cost the city a pot of gold.  After the rainbow faded, the park’s slopes glowed a super-saturated wet green.
