Poppies in their Glory
We haven’t many poppies in the park, but the few that thrive here can have moments of glory. Here is a stand of California poppies just humming with sunshine. You can find them on the far northeastern corner of the park, at the water’s edge, inside the seasonal Burrowing Owl preserve, which is now open to the public. Note that the damn Italian thistles are also in the picture.
