Parent Visits
Two of the White-tailed Kite chicks sometimes stood high enough so they could be seen stretching their wings. A Northern Mockingbird sang nearby and seemed to annoy the youngsters. At one point a kite parent who had been watching from the next tall tree arrived for a visit, and left again after a few minutes. These fledglings seem very near ready to fly.
