Owl Still Here

Patience and persistence have been the key to spotting the Burrowing Owl in the Nature Area on the north side of the park, and some days even that hasn’t been enough, as the owl was either elsewhere or too down low to spot. But park visitor Ben Rosenberg’s patience, persistence and good luck were rewarded with these two photos of the owl on Friday. Some park visitors doubted whether it was still here, but Ben has the proof that the owl has not left us. In recent years, when an owl has stayed a couple of weeks, as this one has, it will stay until around the middle of March. Thank you Ben for sharing these photos.
