A Quiet Day
The east owl at 10:18 remained in its hideaway in the rip-rap, where it could not be seen from outside the fence. This photo, like the others showing the bird in this position since December 6, is taken from the Open Circle Viewpoint.
The north owl squatted in its favorite V-notch at the top edge of the rip-rap and looked alert. Nothing happened during my presence to disturb it.
