Owl Diary: Friday 1/25
When I visited, half an hour after sunrise, the east owl perched on the pointed rock just east of its hiding place under the brush awning. In that spot its head could be seen from the paved trail outside the fence.

The north owl perched in its usual spot, this time with its back turned to the trail, surveying the water. The sun had not yet climbed high enough to warm it up.
