Regular park visitor Charlotte Bauer shared this cellphone photo she took of what looks like a Burrowing Owl at 7:30 a.m. this past Sunday. The bird’s location is inside the fenced Burrowing Owl Preserve on the northeast corner of the park. It has not been seen since.
This would be only the second owl photographed in the park this winter season. The first one roosted in the Nature Area and was photographed for four successive days. It has since disappeared.
