Make a Wreath
This major branch of a Monterey Cypress along Spinnaker Way broke and fell across the perimeter trail on December 13, a week ago. When the City gets around to dealing with it, it is headed for the shredder. Meanwhile, it offers a bounty of evergreen branches for wreath making just waiting to be snipped and picked up. It would be uncool to snip branches from a standing tree, dead or alive, but this is a broken branch, beyond repair, and the soul of the tree, if it has one, would probably be glad if you used its branches to spread holiday cheer around your home and your neighborhood.
