Great Year for Rock Rose

The rock roses (cistus) in the back of the picnic area just north of the parking circle are having a great year.  I photographed them two years ago. This year they are taller, there are more of them, and they are doing a valiant job trying to outgrow the grasses that surround them.  Cesar Chavez Park is, apart from machine mowing, an untended place.
