Great Egret: A Portrait
Sometimes birds act as if they want their portraits taken. That was the case with this Great Egret, who flew out of the water and did something I did not imagine it could manage, given its great size: it perched on a fence. And held still, just turning this way and that, as if to make sure that the photographer featured its good side.
