The flare station near the center of the park got hit with graffiti on its green fence enclosure at the beginning of October this year. Today, only about a month later, the graffiti is painted over. Color matching isn’t the cleanup crew’s forte, with the painted section much brighter than the original. But at least the offensive tags are gone. When I say it “only” took about a month, I’m comparing it to the delay of a bit more than a year that it took the crew to clean a prominent tag off the flare station smokestack. Progress is being made, and appreciation is due.
