At 7 a.m. Wednesday I met Rick, who has worked for United 1-800-Toilets for four years. The city’s contract with United calls for Rick to clean the plastic porta-potties in Cesar Chavez Park every other day. Rick also cleans the units downtown, right behind the Mayor’s office.
Hm. What if the regular flush toilets in City Hall were to shut down, making city officials use the porta-potties right outside the door there? Maybe that would speed the building of real bathrooms in the park.
