Narcissus/Daffodil (Narcissus poeticus)

The little Narcissus cluster on the west ridge of the park, featured here on February 7 this year, is showing great endurance. Here it is on February 24 with a new set of flowers, looking as pretty as ever. This plant must be a gift from some human who sank a bulb on this spot for reasons known only to themselves. There’s nothing in its immediate surroundings to suggest some larger purpose. It’s a random act of beauty. Does it inspire you to do likewise?
