Ducks on the Meadow
Thursday morning’s organized birdwalk led by Audubon’s Emilie Strauss had taken me into the Berkeley Meadow for the first time since the big rains. I returned there late this afternoon to try to get better photos of the bird life on the new freshwater ponds that the rains had made there. I wasn’t disappointed. Despite the grey, drizzly sky my camera managed to get tolerable images of a group of Northern Pintail ducks as well as a pair of Green-winged Teals.
