Dear Council member Wengraf  ~

I have belatedly heard of the bizarre idea to monetize César Chavez Park with event spaces and zip lines. I hope you will see the folly of destroying  one of Berkeley’s ONLY accessible waterfronts, utilized by thousands of us for safe, quiet, natural recreation. Every time we walk there, we remark on the many languages we hear spoken. It is truly diverse, equitable and inclusionary at a time when these values must be at the forefront. Thanks for your consideration.
