Both Owls

First Owl (Athene cunicularia)
Second Owl (Athene cunicularia)

As of sunrise this morning, both of the Burrowing Owls spotted yesterday in the park were still present and in the same spots. The first owl perched in exactly the same spot and looked as if it had not moved an inch. The second owl remained in the same shallow pit and displayed the same alertness as yesterday. I was unable to return to the park later in the day to report on their current status. If park visitors have news please indicate in the Comment form below. Thank you.

Owl in circle there at 5pm – along with women walking in the enclosure claiming “there was no sign” – she offered no explanation as to what she stepped over the fence – I yelled at her and she left.
