Blue on Green
This Great Blue Heron is almost becoming a park fixture. It shows itself daily in various park areas, mostly in the south and middle. Possibly it has a territorial agreement with a Great Egret that mostly forages on the north side. Here on the freshly mowed wet grass on the eastern side of the park, not far south of the flare station, this Great Blue wasn’t finding any meals while I watched, but it made a strikingly beautiful picture.
