Bee on the C and an E

Thanks to the sharp eye of Bay Nature magazine intern Michelaina Johnson, my lens caught a honeybee doing its thing on the Ceanothus blossoms on the western ridge of the park this afternoon.  There was also a bumblebee but it moved too quickly to have its portrait taken.  If anyone knows the exact species of this Ceanothus and/or of this bee, please bee so kind as to post them here in the Comments.   Thank you.  P1030159 (Custom)

The park also had another visit from a Great Egret, again on the busy west side path.  This one was not as big a specimen as the huge one that visited January 5, but these birds are always impressive, and show much less fear of humans than lesser birds.
