Beautiful Warbler

This Yellow-rumped Warbler led me on a merry chase northward along the rocky edge of the Burrowing Owl preserve. Each time just before I got it in focus, it skipped to the next spot. Finally it dallied a bit atop a bush, and there I captured its portrait. What a pretty little bird!

I photographed a couple of these birds just recently, last November, but they’re so pretty I can’t resist showing them again. They move so quickly that most park visitors probably don’t get a chance to appreciate them.
