A Summer Hawk
The hawks and other big raptors normally show up in numbers come fall and winter. By way of exception, this Cooper’s Hawk appeared on the north edge of the Berkeley Meadow, by the Virginia Street Extension, on August 10, and photographer Phil Rowntree was there to capture its image.
