Because of the heavy overcast and the threat of rain, I had the path on the north side of the park pretty much to myself. Maybe due to this relative calm, these Golden-crowned Sparrows were less shy than usual and allowed me to set up my tripod and to video a glimpse into their lives. At this moment, they were eating. What a varied diet they had! Fresh blossoms of wild radish. Tender leafy greens. A bounty of seeds from an old twisted bush.
