There’ll be a Spring Equinox celebration on Sunday evening March 19 at the Cesar Chavez Memorial Calendar in the park, writes Solar Calendar curator Santiago Casal. The event starts at 6:30 and goes for an hour. Naturalist Lori Lambertson of the San Francisco Exploratorium Teacher Institute will explain how the solar system works to produce seasons, and the place of the Equinoxes in this calendar. She’s very good and brings helpful props. Sunset is scheduled for 7:20.
