The rainfall of the past two days pushed all kinds of green growth out of the ground, including this lush, beautiful dandelion plant. I found it growing in a protected spot between bushes on the south slope just above the big kite lawn. Of course you don’t want that on your home lawn. But Cesar Chavez Park offers a cornucopia of edible weeds, such as wild radish and wild mustard. This fresh, leafy dandelion is just waiting to be part of your salad or stir-fry.
